Shangri-La Hotel

Toronto, ON

Architects: James K.M. Cheng; Hariri Pontarini Architects

Client: Gemstar Group of Companies

Completion: 2012
Category: Hospitality

Project Type: Stone Engineering

A luxury hotel in the heart of downtown Toronto boasts 202 spacious guestrooms, two restaurants, eight meeting rooms, a pool, a health club, and a ballroom. PICCO Engineering focused on the bathroom floor plans, specifically providing shop drawings clearly showing all the stone dimensions and shop tickets for the fabrication and installation of stone and mosaic. This included the pool area, tile floor layout in the corridor and sauna area, cladding on the walls and columns, and interior mosaics.

PICCO Engineering played an instrumental role in helping complete the project on time and budget.
