PICCO Engineering, a leading provider of natural stone engineering and consulting services across North America, is proud to announce that Jeff Liedel, P.E., has joined as Senior Project Engineer, further strengthening the firm’s presence and capabilities in the United States.
Jeff brings over 30 years of structural engineering and project management experience, with particular expertise in cladding systems and temporary structures, including scaffolding, concrete formwork, and falsework.
Licensed as a Professional Engineer in 18 states, he has led the engineering and analysis of high-profile, technically demanding projects both domestically and internationally. In recent years, he has specialized in natural stone cladding systems, supporting stone contractors with engineered anchorage design, as well as on-site rigging, lifting, and access solutions.
A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Structures), Jeff is known for his analytical skills, collaborative mindset, and dedication to mentoring the next generation of engineers. Outside of work, he is a devoted sports fan—especially of lacrosse—and enjoys woodworking and home improvement projects.
This marks an exciting chapter for PICCO Engineering as it continues to support the architectural stone industry with engineering excellence, technical innovation, and expanded regional expertise.
“Jeff’s depth of experience and practical approach make him a tremendous asset to our team. His leadership will enhance our ability to support clients throughout North America as we continue to grow our U.S. operations.” — Karl Doucas, Principal, VP of Operations
