Located in Midtown Manhattan alongside Billionaires' Row, 220 Central Park South is a luxury residential skyscraper designed by the renowned Robert A.M. Stern Architects. This prestigious development consists of two connected structures: The Villa, an 18-story tower offering a grand, front-facing view of Central Park, and a soaring 950-foot tower situated behind it. Home to high-profile private clients, Wall Street executives, prominent real estate investors, and A-list celebrities, 220 Central Park South represents the pinnacle of exclusivity.
PICCO Engineering provided stone anchoring engineering for the Podium level and the Villa’s exterior cladding. Additionally, we designed a specialized hoist system to facilitate stone installation in the spatially constrained site. The project required meticulous coordination, particularly in transitioning from exterior cladding to interior garage walls and integrating the arcaded passageway, motor court with a carved fountain, terrace areas, and entry gates. Despite the challenges, we collaborated closely with our client to deliver practical solutions that minimized installation impacts. Clad in Alabama Limestone with cast stone elements, 220 Central Park South exemplifies timeless elegance, featuring Juliet-style balconies, setback terraces, and intricate ornamental metalwork—solidifying its status as a distinguished landmark in Manhattan.
