Kasota Limestone
Kasota Limestone, a distinctive dolomitic limestone quarried in Minnesota, was chosen to reflect the geological history of the region and to create a connection with Minnesota's natural resources. This award-winning project required a unique engineering approach due to its multi-plane geometry, which presented significant challenges in detailing and sequencing.
PICCO Engineering played a crucial role for the exterior cladding geode facade. The intricate installation drawings and precision engineering of the strongback subframe were fundamental components of the work. 3D modeling was essential in executing this project with the utmost quality and success. The combination of innovative design and meticulous engineering resulted in a striking facility that harmonizes with its natural surroundings while meeting the functional needs of its users.
